Oct 08, 2025
PBS Distribution and Blink Films have closed sales for “Ultimate Crash Test” and “Terror on the Space Station,” building momentum ahead of Mipcom.
The PBS Distribution-Blink Films partnership is built on “a shared commitment to bold storytelling, international appeal, and creative excellence,” the companies said. Previous collaborations include “Concorde: The Untold Story,” “Chernobyl: New Evidence” and “Easter Island Origins” – all combining investigative storytelling with cinematic visuals.
“Ultimate Crash Test,” a Nova production by Blink Films for GBH in association with Channel 4 in the U.K. and WELT in Germany, has sold to Channel 8 in Israel, NRK in Norway and 7 Network in Australia.
The program delivers a “high-stakes exploration of engineering and safety innovations, combining real-world crash simulations with expert insight.” The film arrives at a pivotal moment, as the global automotive industry undergoes rapid transformation with electric and autonomous vehicles, making road safety more critical than ever.
“Terror on the Space Station,” a Nova production for GBH in association with France Television, is an edge-of-your-seat account of a near-catastrophic incident aboard the International Space Station. The series taps into growing international interest in space exploration, coinciding with renewed government and private sector missions.
It has been acquired by SBS in Australia, Red Bull Media House in Austria, RTL in Luxembourg, RTI in Italy, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland and TVN24 in Poland.
“These titles reflect what makes our partnership so successful: bold ideas, rigorous storytelling, andrelevance to global audiences,” said Tracy Beckett, commissioning editor at PBS Distribution. “We’reproud to see these programs already making an impact across multiple territories.”
Dan Chambers, creative director, Blink Films, said: “PBS Distribution are a fantastic partner for Blink as we work together to produce and deliver content which meets the increasing appetite among global broadcasters for premium, high-stakes factual content that combines scientific innovation and human drama. We’re delighted with these recent sales and currently developing several ambitious projects with PBS, which we think will be equally successful with international buyers.”
