The distributor renowned for its high-quality factual programming to feature new docs from science series NOVA as well as new seasons of "World’s Greatest" series.
PBS Distribution unveils its latest slate for the upcoming MIPCOM market this October. Their standout lineup includes a selection of documentaries from the acclaimed science series "NOVA", which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. Titles include, "Decoding The Universe” (2x60), which traces groundbreaking discoveries that have reshaped the understanding of the cosmos, "Building Stuff" (3x60), which explores how engineers are pushing boundaries, reaching new heights, and transforming the world, and "What Are Ufos?" (1x60), which examines the evidence of UFOs from all angles.
PBS Distribution’s slate also highlights a diverse range of titles from its Australian co-production partner, WildBear Entertainment. These include the popular "World’s Greatest" series, with two new seasons: "Myths And Mysteries" (6x60), and "Transportation Marvels" (6x60), and the three-part series "Suddenly Royal" (3x60), which tells the stories of everyday women and men from around the globe who unexpectedly meet their real-life prince or princess and marry into royalty.
In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27, 2025, PBS Distribution presents a collection of Holocaust-related content. The centerpiece of this offering is "Playing To Survive: Von Cramm Vs. Hitler" (2x60 or 1x90), a two-part documentary that sheds light on the little-known story of Gottfried von Cramm, a forgotten tennis hero who rose to fame in the 1930s.Despite his exceptional talent, von Cramm's career was significantly impacted by the rise of the Nazi regime andthe subsequent persecution of Jews and LGBTQ+ individuals. His refusal to conform to Nazi ideals and his support for his Jewish friends led to a decline in his career and personal life.
